Matt is a photographer and film maker based in London.

 

​At the age of 19 Matt moved from his home in the North of England to London to pursue a career in photography. After first working at BigSky Studios, he spent three years full time as photographic and archive assistant to David Bailey CBE. Whilst mentored by Bailey, Matt was able to grow his understanding of the classic analogue fundamentals of photography as well as beginning to make films both for D.B's studio and for Matt's own freelance clients.

During his time freelance assisting, he's worked for photographers including Nick Knight & Mariano Vivanco, as well as contributing to projects for Cartier, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair to name a few.

Matt now works alongside Sølve Sundsbø on stills, video and emerging technologies projects for advertising and editorial clients worldwide. This has included lighting on the 2026 Pirelli calendar and camera operating on fashion films. Matt also worked closely on the production of Sølve's newest book HANATABA.

Within his own work he's been commissioned to create films for ON|OFF ĽOrèal Professionnel and Vogue Arabia as well as working alongside emerging musical talents on selective music video projects.

Splitting his time between shooting his own commissions and working alongside Sølve, Matt is London based and travels internationally.
